Generative Workshop Series with Ashley Bach
Spring is about fresh starts. Do you want to write something new, but don’t know how to break the block? This class will be focused on not only generating a new story but also learning techniques to overcome writer's block. This is ideal for all experience levels but is best for ages 18 and up. The goal of these three classes is to hone your
skills as a writer and an editor.
5/2/24 Class 1: Generation
In which we induce inspiration. The last 30 minutes will be dedicated to you outlining and brainstorming the story
you will write for the class.
5/9/24 Class 2: Revision
Bring the story you outlined at the end of the last class. We will begin by discussing the process that went into your story. You will be paired with a classmate to read and edit each other’s stories. This one-on-one will allow you to ask questions and discuss your stories with each other in real-time.
5/16/24 Class 3: Salon
This is an opportunity to share your finished product. Participation is not mandatory to receive feedback.
